The 2nd Paternoster Seafood Festival will take place on Saturday, 29 November 2014 in the picturesque fishing village of Paternoster.

Join us for this family friendly fun-filled festival, in aid of the local community projects in particular  Paternoster People’s Partnership (PPP), a not for profit organisation run by women in the Paternoster Community.  It is the aim of the Organisers to develop and empower the entire community.

The Festival will start on Friday 28 November with a Dance in the Community Hall with the Sidewalk Band.  On Saturday 29 November 2014 the festival gates will open from 09:00 until 19:00. Entrance fees are R30 for adults and R15 for scholars with kids under at no entry fee.

A total of 40 food, arts and crafts stalls, a supervised kiddies entertainment area in a fenced off area next to the Beer Garden at R20 for the day will be available.   Entertainment on the day includes a flying demonstration by the popular Silver Falcons, beach activities like horse riding, SUP (stand-up paddling), kayaking and beach buggy rides. There will be a Mr & Miss Crayfish competition, a Fun Run through Cape Columbine Nature Reserve and 3 mountain bike races.  Entries for the MTB Challenge is available on and there are big prizes to be won.

The Beer garden will host 8 wine stalls from Van Loveren and Namakwa Wines with live music through out the day by Andries Vermeulen (MC), Armand Hofmeyr, Jennifer Zamudio, Wynand Windpomp, Amore Rudman, Young Stars, Steenberg Cove Rieldansers and the Sidewalk Band.
