The region is blessed with three excellent wine routes:

The Darling Wine Route, well known for its biodiversity and the wines paying tribute to it. Boasting world famous cellars like Cloof, Grootte Post and Darling Cellars, it produces wines fit for kings.

The West Coast Wine Route in the Olifants River Valley incorporates the whole river area, the splendour of the Cederberg and the unspoilt West Coast. One of the giants on the route is Namaqua Wines in Vredendal, producing in access of 35 million liters of wine. On this route you can enjoy a complete food and wine experience, in spacious restaurants with relaxing views of vineyards and the Maskam Mountains, with a selection of delicious dishes with a traditional flavour on the menu.

The Swartland Wine Route covers a large area stretching from Paardeberg in the South to the Bergrivier in the North. The large geographical diversity makes for wines with a different experience. This is big sky country with a distinctive character – like its wines. Most of the wines are carefully handcrafted wines showcasing the best of the chosen cultivars.
