The friendly town of Lutzville is situated 59km northwest of the national N7 road and is sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean on the West Coast and inland by the Olifants River. Following the R363 it is a mere 3 hours drive from the center of the Mother City.
The small country hamlet of Koekenaap lies adjacent to Lutzville and is set in a patchwork landscape of farms. Koekenaap dates back to 1928 when farmers settled here on the banks of the Olifants River. As in Lutzville, the economy is based on farming produce such as grapes, tomatoes, beans, potatoes, wheat, beet, guavas, gem squashes and sheep. The Kliphuis Bushmen Cave is an archeological site.
